From the UX perspective, it doesn't matter which part is failing.
You might have high fees on Ethereum during congestion, but you pay enough and get executed, while on Solana you sign tx, sit and wait for minutes for wallet to tell you the tx has been expired or get the revert, most of the time already on simulation before you even send it.
This is especially a big problem when swapping on Jupiter as many pools can be used and the points of failure are multiplied.
I love Solana, but I feel like all people who say that defi UX is great there, never tried doing any onchain swaps with more like $10.
Because I have these issues almost every time when I do it even when markets are okay.
This might not be the problem of L1 but if the apps built on top of it cannot deliver then it's a problem of Solana.
