Long-term, I really don't think Democrats can afford to give up on both Texas and Florida. They're too big, growing too quickly, too important, and too easy to gerrymander. Now as to which one they should focus on in the future, TX still seems more promising to me on the whole.

Admittedly Dem hopes did crash and burn hard in both states in 2022 and 24. Building nearly from the ground up.

@Staroxvia @SanchoPanzy So yes, I suppose if they ever got rid of the filibuster, it would be easy enough, assuming there's also a Dem trifecta. But I just don't consider what happened with HR1 to constitute extremely close to passing
