i can definitely see how ai coding could be killing dev productivity yeah sure i'm doing 3-4x more than I could possibly do before, but i'm also way more distracted finished up a ticket early? -> scroll on phone waiting for agent to wrap up some code? -> go on x feel good about myself doing a something way faster than i would normally? -> grab a coffee noticing this happens the more hands off (agentic) the code assist is before i'd do a task, and just keep going, but now i'm "done early" so instead of using that free time to do something useful i just waste it
