Before joining the private sector, Filip spent nearly a decade at Croatia’s Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA), where he launched and led the country’s first regulatory innovation hub - helping bridge startups, DeFi projects, and financial watchdogs during a critical period of fintech growth and crypto emergence. He also represented HANFA on ESMA Standing Committees covering capital markets and digital finance, and served as a national expert in EU Council negotiations on MiCA and the DLT Pilot regime. Today, Filip remains at the intersection of Web3, policy, and real-world adoption: building infrastructure at Pazar, a platform focused on DeFi-native OTC and real-world assets, and supporting regulatory strategy at Mercuryo. He was recently appointed Chairman of UBiK, Croatia’s blockchain industry association. His presence at #Cosmoverse25 brings one of the region’s most experienced voices on regulation, compliance, and decentralized finance - offering critical insight into how crypto can scale within evolving regulatory frameworks.
