Spend more time being interested than trying so hard to be interesting
People force themselves trying to be interesting and it surfaces as being lame
Focus on what others have passion for
You will be noticed more in return and met with the same curiosity you have in them
There’s going to be three facets of rewarding participation going forward
1) Achievement and collector systems that reward any positive behaviour. Track onchain behaviour and give onchain rewards
2) Social rewards as we have seen multiple brands work towards this already using InfoFi as a pilot
3) CeFi to DeFi will be leveraged as a reward mechanism for collectors. Tokenizing equity and allowing collectors access to participate
Im most excited for the third one because it’s the writing on the wall
Many people are thinking about it but have no strategy to implement and don’t know where to start
As always the first few that beat the curve will reap the innovators benefit
(greater curation of fandom)
Let’s see
Something that is currently happening and not enough people are paying attention to is NFT projects looking for ways to reward participation beyond just holding the NFT.
Something we've seen in past airdrops is that people buy the NFT a couple weeks before the airdrop, then claim the tokens, and then dump both NFT and tokens and move on.
Meanwhile, Pudgy Penguins started issuing soul-bound tokens (tied to the wallet) a while ago, which will possibly play a role in the Abstract TGE.
Azuki, Claynosaurz & co have introduced collector systems.
I think the old model of buying NFTs shortly before airdrops is dead
